Notes: Originally a 6-wheeler
Also marked as D43?(D628?) Originally six wheel configuration. Believed last serviced Hillside June 1928 (marked D628). At some point acquired by Mason Bros. Foundry, Mt Wellington, Auckland, where it was used for moving casting boxes, (out of use by early 1970s). At some point the NZR running gear had been removed and the crane had been reduced to four wheel configuration (had pockets for springs but no horn guides) to run on 4 ft 8 1/2" track in workshop, and one axle was rigged with gearing for hand winding.
Acquired by Bush Tramway Club in July 1973.
Restoration work carried out about 1980 when the running gear off a wagon was fitted and a headstock was replaced.
Overhauled again in the late 1990s when most of the timberwork was replaced Currently operational at Bush Tramway Club (source: Colin Jenner)
